Global Automotive Research Centre GARC is a unit under National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRiP) housing the facilities for comprehensive testing services. GARC provides certification testing and R&D support to the automotive vehicle and component manufacturers in India.
GARC Homologation & Technical Cell (G-HTC)is the gateway for customers to apply for Homologation and development test requirement through online portal from their own premises. GHTC system ensures the data processed in this portal with high security and less time consuming system.
Developmental Test & Evaluation is the process by which a components or system or vehicle compared against requirements and specifications through testing. The results are evaluated to assess progress of design, performance, supportability, etc.
Typically a type approval certificate would cover a base model and several variants for components, sub-systems and vehicles as per Rules are defined in Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR-1989) and its Amendments.
